Housing trusts

We have a long-standing involvement with a wide range of almshouse charities and housing trusts, which provide free or low-cost housing to the elderly poor. In some cases, these organisations can demonstrate a continuous history going back over 900 years. Several of them are registered by the Housing Corporation as social landlords and we are therefore thoroughly familiar with the special statutory regime affecting such bodies.

Our education work naturally involves charity law and we have regular dealings for clients with the Charity Commission. Our charity law work is not restricted to ecclesiastical or educational charities and we help charities of all descriptions and those wishing to establish them.
